Pre-Wedding Workout Routine


Fitness is a huge part of my life and I try to stay as consistent as possible with my routine between a busy schedule and the scorching heat of Florida that can definitely slow you down with fatigue and tiredness. BUT, I have a wedding coming up so I knew I had to bring my working out up a notch not only physically but also with what I was eating. You see, I love food, it’s so hard for me to say “no” if someone offers me anything! I would like to call myself a foodie only because I’m always searching for new spots that are opening here in Orlando to check out, try and share with friends.

I made a challenge to myself for only 4 weeks, because I feel like these other torturous styled diets like “eat watermelon only” or “grapefruit diet“…are just darn right brutal and I usually cave in and eat the whole world, so I wanted to give myself realistic expectations to still enjoy life, eat well, work-out and start to see a steady change to my body.

Search on Groupon, or find yourself a class that you enjoy and stick to it. I signed up for Orange Theory, which is a high intensity interval workout and can I tell you, I’m obsessed! I go Monday through Friday and take the weekends off to recharge. I usually sign up for the 60 minute class, and burn between 500-600 calories each class, its energetic, has good music and the trainers are super amazing! I think fitness classes are awesome because you’re motivated with others  that are doing the same thing you’re doing, goals are met in a fast paced mode where you can continue your day after and not stress about it!

Within 4 weeks, I’ve definitely improved around my waist and seem less “bloaty” all around, my skin is clearer and I have so much more energy when I wake up in the morning compared to before. As a bride, I want to feel refreshed, light and ready for my big day, and I’m feeling it, which is satisfying!

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, from paying off balances and seeing your money go bye bye, haha…and making sure everything and everyone will know where to be at a certain time, making sure vendors are all on the same page, and everything else! You need to have a way to vent, but rather than biting your fiances head off…walk out the door and exercise sister! Exercise increases your overall health and your sense of well-being, which puts more pep in your step every day. But exercise also has some direct stress-busting benefits. It pumps up your endorphins! Physical activity helps bump up the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins. Sign me up!
