Ingredients:
- 3 lb Ground Turkey
- 1 Zucchini sliced
- 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil
- 2 Carrots ( sliced )
- 1/2 bag Frozen Green beans
- 2 Sweet Potatoes Cooked I cook mine in the microwave for 7 minutes
- 1/2 bag Fresh Spinach
- 1 can Organic Pumpkin Puree
- 3/4 cup Quinoa ( or brown rice )
- 1 tsp. Turmeric
- 1/2 bag Broccoli Florets
- 3-4 cup Water
Instructions:
- First, cook the ground turkey in a large pot, then add all the rest of the ingredients. Cook on medium. Fill the pot with water. Allow to boil on medium high, stirring occasionally and eventually smooshing down the food to a semi-puree consistency with the meat masher. This make the food easier to digest and to eat for the pups.
- Allow to cool down and then add to your jars for storage. Fresh jars can last up to 3-4 days so freeze the others until you’re ready to use and take out. Double or triple this recipe to have more at hand!
Notes:
Serving suggestions: We have 2 dogs and serve our Shihtzu and Yorkie breakfast and dinner, 2 spoonfuls of dog food mix with a splash of Raw Kefir ( can find at Sprouts ), Brutus Broth and a squirt of Salmon oil. They literally love it and devour it!
How to store? I need to make more: Double or triple this recipe to make a larger amount. To store this homemade dog food, I place them in glass mason jars and place in the freezer and bring out to thaw as needed. You can make a bigger amount and store so you have even more!
