Mixed Greenery Wreath: A Budget-Friendly DIY

share:

How to make your own wreath

Let’s be real – wreaths are expensive. Walk into any home decor store, you’ll find a few but they either looks super fake, cheap or not your style, am I right?. But guess what? You don’t need to drop serious cash to get that high-end, neutral aesthetic you love. This DIY eucalyptus wreath is so easy, looks straight out of an HGTV dream home, and you’ll feel so crafty after designing it!

What You’ll Need

The best part? You can find everything at on Amazon. No specialty floral shop required. Grab some faux eucalyptus (because, let’s be honest, who has time to keep real plants alive?), a grapevine wreath form, a glue gun, and scissors. If you want to be extra fancy, add in some faux floral branches for texture.

Tools

Grape Vine Wreath
Eucalyptus Leave Pack 60 PCS
White Berries & Faux Pine Branches ( *Optional )
Hot Glue Gun
Sharp Scissors

Step-by-Step: No Crafting Degree Required

I’m going to show you how to make your very own Eucalyptus Wreath! It’s super easy and doesn’t take too much time to create, it’s beautiful to hang in your home somewhere or your front door! Depending if you want to add different colored berries or stems, you can make it match your home aesthetic or whatever seasons you’re in.

First Things First

First, I began by cutting off each individual stem of my purchased greenery to shorten so that they would be ready to insert into the wreath. Next I start tucking them into the wreath, one stem at a time. Working around the wreath one by one, secure each piece with a bit of hot glue and place into the wreath. Bend the back if the stems into the wreath.

Continue adding each stem one at a time, rotating, backing up and taking a look at the wreath helps me. I would start with one greenery style first and give some space in between each stems so that when you start the next style of greenery it can have that organic “perfect messy look”. Continue to fill and repeat steps until your wreath looks full and complete. That’s it!

Hang It Like You Mean It

A command hook works great to hang on your front door! You can also add a light ribbon depending on the season if you want a delicate look. Now youve got yourself a wreath that screams effortlessly chic, “I totally didn’t just make this in 20 minutes” look.

This beauty isn’t just for the front door. Hang it above a mantel or on your pantry door!
