SUMMER DINNER PARTY

There’s nothing I love more than setting the table for guests to come over. Not only is it the perfect time of year to catch up with friends & family but Summertime also brings stylish table top ideas and designing!

Having folks over for dinner doesn’t have to be stressful, don’t over think hosting an elaborate dinner party with slaving over the kitchen all day long. I’ve got some dinner party tips to help you be the hostess with the mostess without going crazy on the day of making sure everything is perfect.

Setting the table easy yet elegant with pops of accents!

OLD TIME POTTERY DECOR

I love taking a trip to my local Old Time Pottery to purchase the stylish finds for my table, from dinner plates, new flatware and beautiful serving dishes! Old Time Pottery always has all the needs to spruce up any style of dinner table to look beautiful and ready for guests!

Don’t forget to chill your bottles of wine, Summer calls for cold beverages!

Elegant Summer Tablescape

Since Summer is all about color and pops of it, I decided to go with these beautiful mint dinner and salad plates, I loved how they looked layered. To top it off with more “fun” I placed a small apricot as a garnish decor to finish off my look. You could even use these as a table seating with someones name on it in the middle as another idea!

I wrapped the beautiful white linen napkin I also found at Old Time Pottery around the plate to give a more formal look.

Cheese, always have cheese!

Everyone loves an appetizers that are sweet and salty so I made a mini cheeseboard to pass around the table to clear the palette before dinner! Here’s to wine, don’t forget to pair a white and red for your guests to enjoy! For my mini cheeseboard I buy two cheeses, one meat, and sprinkle some almonds!

Fresh Flowers

Summertime is all about the blooming floral found in all of your local supermarkets! I purchased a few bundles of white hydrangeas, cut the stems down pretty low and placed the hydrangeas directly unto the center of the table for a full, easy look. Did you know, hydrangeas drink also from their petals, so if you set this arrangement out a few hours earlier, just spray them with a water bottle to keep refreshed.

Have Fun!

Setting your table for a Summer dinner party should be stress free, and what makes it easier is having Old Time Pottery there to help you style your table to the nines! Cheers and enjoy!
