How To Find Your Niche On Instagram!

share:

ARE YOU LOOKING TO FIND YOUR NICHE?

Finding your niche can be a bit confusing when you’re multi passionate and ready to start a blog + website or online presence. Narrowing down your niche will help you with consistent posting, less procrastination and a dedicated following where you feel passionate and driven to produce content you’re proud of that truly represents who you are, your mission and the problem you help solve for others.

WHAT WILL SOMEONE PAY YOU TO DO?

Think about those times that folks have come to you asking for your services, or what you offer, your rates. Ever have that happen a little more often than it should? This most likely means someone finds value in your knowledge and looks to you as an expert in your field. Think about what someone could possibly pay you to do!

WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT DOING?

What comes naturally to you? Do you enjoy doing something that may seem hard for others to do or even understand? Do you have a natural way of explaining, showing or producing something? I’m sure something comes to mind! Think of your God given talents and what seems to organically follow you and fit in your life.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO DO?

Just because we are good at something or a few things, doesn’t mean we should turn it into a business. Not to say you can’t turn anything into a business, but you have to focus on a niche that you can sell and become consistent on. What are things that you love to do? Do you like to help others with DIY projects & work with your hands? Share your knowledge as an educator? Do you have a gift of communication and could podcast? Are you an excellent writer or photographer? Do you have a gift of design and styling? Try to imagine what you could see yourself doing day to day.

WHAT POSTS GET YOU THE MOST ENGAGEMENT?

You can easily go inside your business account on Instagram and check your insights to see which posts get the most engagement! From comments to saves, these are the posts that tend to resonate with your followers the most. Sometimes what we think they want to see is actually opposite to what they truly want! Maybe you need to get more personal and share your unique story more or maybe the opposite. Do your followers like photos of your face? Your home? Recipes? Quotes? Pay attention to what is getting the most activity and do more of THAT!

THINK LONGEVITY!

Once you find your niche, and you become consistent, you can slowly start opening doors to other areas of your multi-faceted business or brand. At that point you will have dedicated fans and followers that “like, know and trust” you.

Start consistent with one focused niche and work your way up. Have patience, fun and don’t be afraid to be a bit strategic with what you’re posting! Good luck! Have any questions? Email me or leave a comment!
