If you are having trouble pulling your living room look together, then try a statement rug. A bold and interesting rug can tie in the elements of a space and bring focus and grounding to the room. A multi-colored rug works well in acting as a base to pull a color palette, while a geometric or ornate pattern rug acts to bring in visual interest.
ADD SOME THROW PILLOWS
Throw pillows are amazing décor pieces. There are so many shapes, colors, and styles to choose from, so you can find the perfect pair of pillows to add to your living room. They are easy to change out as well, meaning you are not spending a ton of money to switch up your space when you get bored. A design tip: stack your pillows. Go for various sized pillows and layers. This creates added texture and coziness to your space.
FIND THE PERFECT FAUX PLANT
It’s amazing how beautiful some of these faux plants are these days! They look so real and don’t need to be watered! A statement faux plant in your living room corner adds so much style and fills in the space with a nature loving airy vibe nobody can resist! Try faux olive trees, palms and more!
TRY A COFFEE TABLE DISPLAY
The coffee table is often the spot in the living room that gets center focus. That’s because everyone sits around it. Instead of having a bland and blank coffee table, turn this empty space into a small display area. Add a tray, stager some candles, and get a chic coffee table book to make your coffee table a little more interesting.
GET SOME WINDOW TREATMENTS
This design tip is often passed up, yet window treatments really do transform your space. An undecorated window can tend to look a little naked, not to mention that fear of having your neighbors spying on you. Window treatments soften these architectural details and create a more put-together look. Design tip: you can never go wrong with a solid white panel and sheer drapery.

If you’re starting your decorating journey, it can be exciting to start shopping for this. Especially those cute and quirky pieces that just add a touch of originality to a home. However, if you get every statement sofa and catchy pillow, your living room could look a bit chaotic rather than chic. Try for 1-2 statement pieces and let the rest of your choices be simple.
