Downtown Deland Southern Charm!

share:

SOUTHERN CHARM

Downtown Deland is one cute little gem of a city located right outside of Orlando, I’d say it takes a good 45 minute drive to get to the heart of Deland. There you will find Stetson University, an adorable downtown filled with small family owned boutiques, delicious cafes and a stream of trees. After grabbing coffee on my visit at one of my favorite local Bakery’s called “Buttercup Bakery” I took a stroll down to the DeLand House Museum which is located off Michigan Avenue.

Built in 1886 by Henry Addison, this home opened as a Victorian era historic house museum in 1990. The museum also contains materials related to the history of western Volusia County, and is operated by the West Volusia Historical Society. So many more places to visit and learn about the history of the sunshine state, but I hope you enjoyed thus small find I could share with you! To shop this sweet little two-piece scroll to the end of post!
