Busy days bring along the need to take care of ourselves. And I’m number one with taking time to recharge and rejuvenate your spirit. As a creative person, I can find myself running hot for a very long time and when I finally slow down I’m like WHOA, what just happened and I can give myself stress I don’t need. Being more aware of where you allow to take your thoughts before you walk into your home will help your anxieties from the day become more peaceful and set you into a tranquil state. So learn to shut your brain off from the day, and focus your energy on positive thoughts.
You don’t have to go to an expensive spa or go into total Zen mode to relax. I can be totally guilty of this, yup…keeping your phone attached to your hand as you walk through out your home, not knowing how dependent you can be on checking it. Schedule yourself, write it down, put it on post it’s to remind yourself to put the phone down! Nobody will freak out if you don’t answer a text within one hour, it can all wait. Remind yourself of when cell phones did not exist…ahhh, simpler times. Take care of yourself first, after-all you’re trying to clear your mind.
