High Protein Egg Casserole Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 8 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 8 slices Cooked Bacon crumbled or small pieces
  • 3 cups Bread ( cubed ) Sour Dough, French Bread, etc.
  • 1 1/2 cup Whole Milk ( half and half works too )
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350. Place small sliced pieces of butter to the bottom of your baking dish.
  • Make sure to cook your bacon first until it's crispy, and set aside.
  • Cube your bread into small pieces ( 1 inch ) and spread evenly to the bottom of your baking dish. This absorbs the eggs and gives it texture!
  • In a large bowl, mix your eggs, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic and milk until it is well combined.
  • Grab your baking dish, sprinkle your bacon over the bread pieces evenly.
  • Add half of your shredded cheese on top of the bacon.
  • Now, you can our the egg mixture evenly of the entire dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
  • Place in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. You will know it's done with the top if golden and the eggs in the center are cooked.
  • Let it cool for about 5 minutes and serve, enjoy!
