Looking to brighten up your home with a fresh and simple floral arrangement? I recently picked up a mix of beautiful stems from Trader Joe’s and styled them into a chic spring centerpiece using a glass vase I found at Michaels. Creating a floral arrangement doesn’t have to be complicated—just follow these five easy steps to make your own!
Glass Vases I love!
What You’ll Need:
✔ A mix of fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s (choose seasonal blooms)
✔ Greenery for texture (eucalyptus, ruscus, or ferns)
✔ A glass vase (found mine at Michaels!)
✔ Floral shears or sharp scissors
✔ Fresh water
Pick Your Flowers – Select a variety of blooms in different shapes, sizes, and colors. I love using tulips, daisies, hydrangeas, and ranunculus for a fresh spring look.
Trim & Prep the Stems – Remove any leaves that will sit below the waterline to keep the water clean and help flowers last longer. Cut stems at an angle for better water absorption.
Create a Base with Greenery – Start by placing your eucalyptus or other greenery in the vase to form a foundation. This helps support the flowers and gives the arrangement a natural shape.
Add Flowers in Layers – Begin with your larger focal flowers ( like a colorful stem, hydrangeas or your taller floral ), then add medium-sized blooms (tulips, roses), and finish with smaller accent flowers for texture.
Adjust & Enjoy! – Step back and adjust the flowers for a balanced look. Refresh the water every couple of days to keep your arrangement looking fresh longer.
With just a few simple steps, you can create a stunning floral arrangement that brings springtime beauty into your home. Let me know if you try this easy DIY flower arrangement – I’d love to see your creations! Follow me on instagram to catch up with my everyday!
