The Lesley Project, family room makeover! When you entered my clients home an empty space was just…THERE! I decided to design it into a sitting area, a bookshelf was built-in first and then I came in to design the rest! Next project is adding a cute built-in wine nook + shelves in the empty corner to complete! So far, I’m loving how it looks like! Check out the before and after!

BEFORE

After the Makeover: Family Room Transformation

The family room renovation turned this space into a bright, airy haven with a serene, neutral palette. Soft shades of beige, white, and grey create a calming atmosphere, while a mix of textures—like plush rugs, cozy throws – dds warmth and depth.

Neutral Home Decor Tips:

  1. Light Walls: Opt for light-colored walls to make the room feel larger and more open.
  2. Mirrors: Strategically placed mirrors reflect natural light, enhancing the room’s brightness.
  3. Minimalist Furniture: Choose sleek, functional pieces to keep the space uncluttered.
  4. Layered Textures: Combine different textures in pillows, rugs, and upholstery for a cozy yet sophisticated look.

This neutral makeover not only refreshed the family room but also made it a versatile space perfect for relaxation and gatherings.
