Boho Plants You’ll Love for Your Home

I love a real plant but they make some real looking greenery now days! To me, I like to keep it 50/50 real and faux. If you’re anything like me, you love creating cozy, earthy spaces that feel a little lived-in and a whole lot personal. That’s the heart of boho style – and adding plants (real or faux!) is one of the best ways to bring that natural, laid-back vibe to your space. Whether you’re a green thumb or just appreciate the look of lush greenery, I’ve got some boho plant picks and styling tips that will have your home feeling warm, wild, and oh-so-inviting.

What Plants Go With Boho Decor?

Boho style is all about layers, texture, and an effortless connection to nature – so it makes sense that houseplants play a big role! Look for plants that add interesting shapes and structure to your space. Some favorites:

  • Fiddle Leaf Fig – Tall and leafy, perfect for corners.
  • Monstera – A classic boho must-have with bold, split leaves.
  • Pothos or Philodendron – Great for hanging planters or letting trail off shelves.
  • Snake Plant – Adds height and works well in low light.
  • Cactus & Succulents – Perfect for that desert-modern twist.
  • ZZ Plant – Low maintenance and gives a lush, glossy look.

Mix and match different heights, leaf shapes, and textures to create that dreamy, collected feel.

What Are the Essentials of Boho Style?

Boho home decor is relaxed, eclectic, and full of personality. Here are a few key elements and sources to keep in mind when pulling your look together:

What Are Boho Colors?

The boho color palette is grounded in nature—earth tones are your best friend. Here are some shades that work beautifully:

  • Warm neutrals like sand, ivory, and camel
  • Rich shades like terracotta, mustard, rust, and olive green
  • Pops of turquoise, deep blues, and warm pinks if you want to go bold

Layer them through your pillows, throws, dried pampas

Where Is the Best Place to Find Fake Plants?

Let’s be real – not everyone has time to water plants (or keep them alive). That’s where faux greenery comes in! And these days, it’s so good it can be hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. My go-to spots for beautiful boho-style fake plants:

  • Amazon – Affordable and tons of variety. I’ve found great faux hanging vines here!
  • World Market – Their faux olive trees and potted plants are stylish and earthy.
  • Afloral – One of my faves for realistic faux stems and dried florals.
  • West Elm – Chic, modern pots with lifelike plants.
  • Wayfair – Great for larger faux plants and planters in boho textures.

Try styling faux plants in woven baskets or ceramic pots for that cozy, curated look. And don’t forget to “fluff” the leaves!

I hope this inspires you to bring a little more life (real or faux!) into your boho space. Whether you’re just starting to bring the boho look home or you’ve already got the woven ottoman and patterned pillows, adding the right plants can totally elevate your vibe.
