Fall Simmer Pot

There’s nothing quite like that cozy, crisp feeling when Fall finally rolls in. The air gets cooler, the leaves begin to turn, and suddenly, all you want is to wrap yourself in a chunky sweater. Additionally, you want to make your home feel like a warm hug. One of my favorite (and easiest) ways to welcome the season is by making a simmer pot. This simple DIY recipe fills your home with the most deliciously comforting aroma. Think cinnamon, citrus, apples, and cloves all dancing together in your kitchen.

Simmer Pot

Natural, Nontoxic air freshener

It’s an all-natural, non-toxic way to make your home smell amazing, without relying on candles, sprays, or plug-ins filled with questionable ingredients.

Instead of lighting a scented candle, try letting this blend of real fruits and spices simmer gently on your stovetop. It’s a clean, safe alternative that’s just as beautiful and effective. Plus, it looks pretty simmering away in your kitchen! Whether you’re prepping for guests, doing a little self-care, or just craving that nostalgic autumn aroma, this simmer pot delivers major cozy vibes.

Can you drink an autumn simmer pot?

Not quite, friend. While a fall simmer pot smells absolutely delicious, it’s not meant for sipping. The ingredients are real – like apples, oranges, cloves, and cinnamon, but they’re usually used more for their scent than flavor. Plus, depending on how long it’s been simmering, the water may be a little too concentrated or bitter. So while it may look like cider, it’s best to enjoy it with your nose, not your mug!

How long do I leave a simmer pot on?

Let your simmer pot do its cozy magic for 2 to 4 hours at a time. Just make sure to keep an eye on the water level, you’ll want to add more as it evaporates. If you’re using a crockpot, you can let it go even longer on low heat. Once you’re done, you can store the cooled mix in the fridge and reuse it the next day. Just add a bit of fresh water and reheat when you want those fall feels all over again.
