Are you in search of the best New Smyrna Beach restaurants? I’ve got you covered! These are restaurants that I have personally gone to for many years even throughout my college years and now as a married gal, my husband is my new foodie partner. Whether you’re soaking in the sunshine, strolling Flagler Avenue, or catching the sunset by the water, this beach town is packed with charm and flavor. Below, I’m sharing some of my favorite restaurants, including a few with waterfront views that are hard to beat.
Nothing beats a beachside meal, and New Smyrna delivers. Here are 10 must-try restaurants in this scenic beach area, including a beach restaurant right on the water:
Located on the Intracoastal, this spot has live music, a marina view, and amazing mahi tacos ( per my husband ). The vibe is laid-back and perfect for sunset cocktails. Such a great spot for the family or a date night.
Right on the water with colorful drinks and Caribbean-inspired plates. If you head to New Smyrna, try their coconut shrimp and people-watch from the outdoor deck at this popular spot.
It’s not waterfront, but it’s a must. Romantic, twinkle-light patio, Tuscan vibes, and the roasted garlic appetizer is to die for. Even Guy Fieri Even visited The Garlic on “Diners, drive-ins and dives“!
This one’s iconic! Eat in a treehouse surrounded by live oaks. They have a full wine list and the seafood is always fresh. It’s one of the unique restaurants in the New Smyrna Beach area. My family and I have spent a few mother’s and father’s day lunches here, you are bound to find something to choose from, plus I mean…when was the last time you ate in a tree?
Smack dab on the beach at the end of Flagler Ave. Casual, surfy spot with killer burgers and ocean views. Great for a post-beach bite in New Smyrna Beach. Walk right up in your bathing suit and flip flops, it’s super casual and is a classic spot for locals and tourists.
Right on the sand with beach bar vibes and tropical drinks. It’s casual, fun, and great for a no-fuss lunch in your flip-flops at this beach locale. They like to party too, so if you’re wanting some fun music and atmosphere, this is the spot.
A local fave. Rustic, riverside, and full of Old Florida charm. Ideal for dining in New Smyrna Beach, try the crab legs or fried gator bites while watching the dolphins.
Cozy and tucked away downtown, they serve up elevated comfort food. Think truffle fries, steaks, and a dreamy wine list.
If you’re staying overnight, this is the breakfast spot. Argentinian influence, flaky pastries, and the best omelets. I love the healthier menu and fresh dishes! Casual too!
Last but definitely not least. One of my husband and I’s favorite spots hands down! This one’s a brunch and dinner dream. Outdoor courtyard, string lights, artisan cocktails, and wood-fired everything in a quaint New Smyrna Beach setting. Try the fig & prosciutto pizza and the hummus appetizer, so GOOD!
Absolutely yes. New Smyrna Beach has this laid-back, surf-town feel but still delivers great food, boutique shopping, and some seriously stunning sunrise views. It’s less crowded than Daytona, way more charming, and has that perfect mix of old Florida and fresh coastal vibes. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or a slow-paced beach day, enjoying the local restaurants makes it totally worth the drive.
If you’re ever in New Smyrna Beach and looking for the cutest spot to grab coffee, Luma is it! This little gem on Flagler Ave is totally Instagram-worthy with its coastal-boho vibes, cozy seating, and dreamy aesthetic. I mean… the plants, the light, the lattes? It’s giving main character energy.
Whether you’re popping in for a coffee date, snapping some cute pics, or just need a laid-back place to sip and reset, Luma delivers. They’ve got coffee, wine, teas, small bites, and even charcuterie boards – yes please! It’s a must-stop when you’re strolling around NSB.
Add it to your beach day lineup – you’ll love it! Check out the pics below, I ordered a delish iced Matcha and Lucas got an IPA! I love the earthy vibes here!
Okay, I may be biased here but… New Smyrna wins this round! It’s cleaner, quieter, and filled with indie shops and delicious eats. Daytona has the speedway and a busier vibe, but New Smyrna feels more local, artsy, and peaceful. If you’re after charm and great food, NSB is the move.
You may also enjoy a visit to Daytona Beach for its unique mix of activities. One highlight is Tanger Outlets Daytona, where you can shop popular brands like Nike, Coach, and Levi’s at great prices. Daytona is also home to the famous Daytona International Speedway, offering exciting tours and a taste of Florida’s racing history. A fun bonus? You can actually drive your car on the beach, which makes for a one-of-a-kind experience. The area features a classic boardwalk and pier with games, snacks, and nostalgic seaside vibes, plus the Hard Rock Hotel offers oceanfront dining and live music. Daytona’s blend of shopping, entertainment, and affordable, family-friendly attractions make it worth checking out.
If you’re planning a Florida trip and love discovering new coastal towns with personality, New Smyrna Beach Restaurants should be on your list.
If you’re aiming for beautiful weather without peak crowds, April or November are two sweet spots. The heat is manageable, there’s less rain, and hotel prices tend to be better. For New Smyrna specifically, spring and fall bring that salty breeze and smaller crowds – perfect for restaurant-hopping and beach walks.
