Let’s talk curtains, friends. They can totally make or break a room. I’ve been on the hunt for something that felt airy, elevated, and timeless, and I finally found the perfect panels from TheHues.com. I went with their Cracovia Linen Blend Lightweight Airy Textured Custom Curtains, and I am so happy with how they turned out!
Here’s what I ordered:
If you’re in the “I want curtains but have no idea where to start” phase – let’s break it down below.
It’s all in the details:
This is such a good question! A general rule? Go lighter if your couch is a darker shade – it keeps things fresh and open. If your couch is lighter, soft neutrals like oat, flax, or white (like the ones I picked) add elegance without clashing.
TheHues.com – hands down. Their custom options made the process so simple, and the quality is chef’s kiss. I love that I could choose the exact length, width, header style, and rod. It felt like I got the designer treatment without the crazy price tag.
First, measure your windows – width and height. A good rule is to double the width of your window for that full, gathered look. Since I have two windows, I ordered 4 panels total so each window would have 2 panels (one on each side). I went with 88” length to keep the curtains just grazing the floor – which always looks super polished. You want your curtains to “kiss the floor”.
To make your windows look larger and your room taller, extend the curtain rod about 6-10 inches past each side of the window. This also helps you fully open the curtains and let in more light. Hang them 4-6 inches above the window frame (or even closer to the ceiling) to give your room that grand, airy feel.
If you’re updating your space or just want to bring in some soft, cozy vibes, these curtains are such a win – and they work in both modern and classic spaces.
