Somehow it is September already. I opened my planner this morning, saw the new month sitting there in clean handwriting, and felt that familiar little flip in my chest. Fall is coming. Not all at once, and definitely not the way the internet promises it, but coming all the same.
August was an emotional one for me. I’ve been going through some ups and downs when it comes to my fertility journey, I mean it’s been 8 years. I will have days where it feels like I can manage the thoughts and grief, and others where it just clouds over me like a 3pm Florida storm. Speaking of that, I am grateful for the moments I have where I can connect with fellow infertility warriors and friends, it’s wild how healing a community like this is when you decide to open up and chat about what you’re feeling and going through.
A bit of an infertility update
Where are we in our journey? Praying. Not for clarity but to make a decision on certain aspects of what has been given to us. Of course we know adoption, donor egg, childless, fostering, fertility treatments, or keep trying for a miracle are all options literally available for us. But as a couple, you need to both be willing to at least say “hey, I feel somewhat at peace with this choice, let’s move forward” even if you’re kicking and screaming, right? Faith comes into play. I know the Lord has us right now, he always has. We feel like we are in the “red zone”, its time. Something is around the corner. I can feel it.
I was recently asked to be a guest on the “Infertility Diaries” podcast with hosts Whitney & Lindsey, I am so excited to share this sit down I had with them. I cried ( of course ) I hope I don’t look so ridiculous but I can’t wait to share that heart to heart with you, it meant a lot for me to share my journey and it’s all worth every tear if I can help one gal feel less alone. Soft launching Fall
I’ve been having so much fun styling our home for Fall and sharing finds with you. It’s still hot as heck here in Florida but who says we can’t crank down the A/C, light a pumpkin candle, play an Autumn playlist in the background and get to decorating? ME!!
