So I recently re-decorated my living space, and even though it didn’t take too much time to do so, I knew I wanted to open up the walls in my not so spacious living area. You see, you don’t have to have a mansion to make a statement! My coffee table was a complete steal, I only spent $5 bucks believe it or not at a thrift store. After my purchase I painted it with some chalk paint by Annie Sloan, ( which can literally go on anything ) sliced some wooden planks from Home Depot and bam! Easy, bargain, and beautiful! As much as I love faux plants I equally like the real deal so I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t have tons of real greenery in my own home. If you’re looking to spruce up a small space and don’t have much room to work with, look at the walls. You can hang, nail, place shelves and create an illusion for design at eye level and well, it really opens up the room. Pick an accent corner and have fun with it! Some of my personal favorite go-to stores for decor are: Jo-Anne’s, Marshalls, Wayfair, H&M has awesome affordable pillow cases, Orchard Supply Hardware ( plants galore ), Homegoods, Target and local thrift stores ( pieces to refurbish) Ah, Happy decorating!
