SWEET N’ SAVORY CHILI

It’s that time of  year where the weather is crisp and you need to stir up something warm and tasty! This chili recipe makes my mouth water just thinking about it! If you’re a sweet n’ salty person like myself, you’re going to LOVE this recipe. It’s super easy, a crowd pleasure and one of the best chili’s I’ve ever had! I’ve shared it with friends and family and it’s been a total hit each and every single time. The best part about this recipe is it’s super easy to make, enjoy!

Sweet n’ Savory Banana Pepper Chili

Ingredients:

1 lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup of chopped yellow onions
1 tablespoon of chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon of chopped red pepper
2 cans of great northern white beans
1 can of kidney beans
1 can of pinto beans
 1 small can of corn
1 bottle or can of beer ( any brand )
1 8 oz. ( small ) tomato sauce
1 can of Matteo’s Salsa, found at Publix, if you don’t have a Publix look for a more liquid based salsa usually called “restaurant style” )
1 jar of mild banana peppers ( Mt. Olive )
1 jar of sweet banana peppers ( Mt. Olive )

*Low sodium on all beans if possible and entire can including the juice

Instructions:

First, chop your onions, green and red peppers and cook until somewhat sauteed in your large pot. Add your turkey meat, cook all together. Then, add the rest of your ingredients but NOT the banana peppers. This is saved for the end.

Cook on low to medium for 2 hours with lid on, stirring occasionally. After two hours, add half of each banana peppers into the chili. Stir, and cook for another 15 min with lid open.

Serve with sour cream, cheese, hot sauce or even corn ships! Yum! Enjoy, it’s one of my favorite Chili’s to make, total crowd pleaser!
